Monday 2nd March 4.30pm – 5.30pm
Unity Junction, Level 1 St Nics, Sutton
This free workshop is in partnership with the council and with Street Doctors, who deliver specialised first aid sessions for youth.
Street Doctors will be teaching youth what to do to prevent bleeding caused by violence or unforeseen circumstances.
The session will cover how to call an ambulance and stem blood loss until medical help arrives. Young people are trained to apply pressure on or around the wound depending on whether the blade is still present. Visual demonstrations and interactive Q&A features explain the science of blood loss, address common misconceptions, and prepare young people for real life scenarios.
Refreshments will be provided on the day. Students age 13 – 19 are welcome.
